Gail Simone is a multiple award-winning author of comics and animation. The current writer of the critically-acclaimed Wonder Woman comic book, she has previously distinguished herself as a fan favorite with distinguished and well-loved runs on such titles as Birds of Prey, Gen13, Deadpool, Villains United, and DC Comics' flagship title, Action Comics.

A former hairdresser, Simone was plucked to write Simpsons comics and book material for Matt Groening's Bongo Comics company, before being drafted by Joe Quesada of Marvel Comics. She has written for most major comics companies, but currently enjoys an exclusive comics contract for DC Comics/Time/Warner.

In addition, she has written animation for such properties as Justice League Unlimited and Tomb Raider.

She and her work have been profiled in the New York Times, New York Sun, TV Guide, Entertainment Weekly, Bitch, Bust, Harper's, Newsweek, and too many other sources to list.

Simone currently lives in a tiny coastal Oregon town with her husband, son, and two loud dogs.
